I wouldn't assign too much significance to the Foliage Pro :-) Paperwhites are extremely easy to grow and they do so rapidly, typically blooming 4-6 weeks after planting. Of any narcissus type, paperwhites are semitropical in origin and require no chill period like other narcissus do.....heck, they even grow perfectly well and grow just as fast if grown in a vase filled with some rocks and water!!

btw, much like seeds, freshly planted bulbs contain everything they need for healthy growth and flowers within the bulb itself......fertilizer is unnecessary and not required. You would get almost exactly similar results skipping the fert entirely!

Normally I’d agree, but these babies have been sweating it out in a hotbox (I believe that is the term?) balcony, and they don’t bloom every year. Which is part of how I forgot what they were. It may not be the FP but all the plants seem a bit happier!

I am still not good enough to my plants. I don’t repot often enough. I have never tested the pH of anything. So, I am happy whenever things go well. The flowers smell lovely. (I am still hoping some Cheerfulness will appear, too. I know I bought some of those. But, where did I put them? No idea.)
