Porcelain traditionally handles just about any cleaner you can throw at it - Steamers included. What you are looking for is a product that does not leave a residue. To get tiles clean, you need to be able to REMOVE the dirty water...and for some the only thing that works is a shop-vac.

I used to use an auto steam cleaner I purchased at Costco for my tiles. It had an attachment that worked perfectly for grout. We had tile throughout our main living area and in all wet areas. That cleaner came in very handy until I broke the handle.

In my opinion, a steamer is almost always the best option if the flooring can handle it. Cleaning with just hot water means no residue left behind.

I clean my Italian porcelain wood look tile with diluted Murphy’s Oil Soap and rinse with water. No residue.
