Supercore Threads

Seems like the Supercore threads keep disappearing.

We are currently DIY installing Supercore in our home. It's going super well. We are starting to put our furniture back into the rooms that have the flooring installed. Does anyone know if we can put rolling chairs on vinyl plank? We have some school chairs and a desk chair that I haven't put back on the floor because I don't want it to damage the floor.

So far, I've been really pleased with how the floor looks and how it's doing with our large family. It's easy to sweep and doesn't show a ton of dirt. Our floor is the Oak Natural. So glad we went with this product.

This is our school room. We need to put in quarter round, but it looks fantastic. Feels fantastic, too.

    It looks AWESOME suseyb!

Suseyb - that looks fantastic! I am considering this for our beach home. Did you find good variation between planks; i.e., not a lot of duplicates? Any other pictures you can share; would love to see them. thank you.

Thanks! We love it! Supercore is not the same as other flooring, as the film is in a continuous loop. Of course, the loop ends and begins again, but it makes it so that even if the plank is the "same" as another, the markings on it are likely in a different place. It makes is so that you have to worry less about which planks are in which box, because they do vary from one another.

Susey, your floor looks really, really nice.

The installed floor color looks warmer than I thought it would look, judging from my small sample. Thanks for adding the info about film loop. Didn't know that.

Thanks ci_lantro. It's warmer in this pic because I had a yellow lamp on, and it was also about dusk. It's light and bright throughout the house.

I learned about the film loop on the big thread. I'm not concerned about repeats, though I do vary the boards, so that a similar plank isn't directly next to another similar plank. I don't know that it would matter much, though. It's a lot nicer than most of the companies that have 5 of the exact same boards. These are similar, and there are repeats, but not as though there were only 5 of the exact same board.

Here is a pic of the same room this morning in natural light. It’s cloudy here today.

Your second photo looks much more like the sample that I have somewhere (and have lost). I was a little worried about it being too ashy but it seems pretty neutral even with the gray paint that you have.

When I got the sample, I was a bit disappointed about the bevel but, seeing your pictures, I don't have a problem with the bevel now.

And thank you for posting more pictures. Choosing flooring is agonizing. The expense and the fact that the floor is the foundation of everything--you just don't want to make a bad choice!

Wow @suseyb, I was going to order oak gunstock but now I'm really on the fence! This looks great!

I just heard about Supercore on another thread and now I am intrigued. I ordered several samples but my favorites are the Natural Oak (with bevel) or the Wagon Wheel Oak (no bevel). I like the classic natural feel of these. @suseyb, I love your floors, that is exactly the look I am hoping for. How do you like them now that you've had them for a while? I am worried about a bevel because I am afraid of dirt and worse getting stuck in there and being hard to clean. I have two dogs, an incontinent cat, who barfs a lot and teenagers. I need a floor that can take a beating and that will be easy to clean even if I find a cat mess that has been hidden behind the couch for a few days. Do you think the bevels would be a problem?

I know this is an older post. I have Supercore and love it. Rolling chairs...well my son is a very huge and heavy guy. His work is often done from home. No problem with the rolling chair for steady computer work. Issues arose from his rolling chair when he is online gaming. I could not see any scratches but he said there were and he put down a pad. My best guess is if a person does not rock and roll while in their chair Supercore can take it.

We just ordered Supercore Acacia Sunrise for our main living area. We previously purchased one box to put together and place in different areas to see how it looks, and are very pleased with the look and quality.

Lisa Lear do you have any photos of your testing planks. I really like the sample but they are small. The movement in the Acacia scares me a little. Few photos around to get a good look. thanks

I would like to see some in room pictures of Acacia Sunrise as well.

Would love to hear an update on as to how your SuperCore floors are holding up! How easy are they to clean?

Also, what type of sub floor did you have? Is there a hollow sound with this brand?

    Thanks for your time!

Im checking out SuperCore floors and am so nervous about ordering flooring that I don't know what its going to look like! Thinking of the Natural Oak or the Oak Wagon Wheel. The Wagon Wheel says that it is "gold" in color. Do those of you that have it find it to be very yellow? Id like to order a box, but you have to buy at least 350 sq.ft. in order to get the free shipping:(. I feel the small samples wouldn't give me an idea whatsoever of the grain, knots etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated to relieve anxiety over this big decision!!

    Laurie,

We can send multiple samples of the same product to you. We also will sell you one box of SUPERcore delivered for $100. That is pretty much free shipping.

    Alan.
