Love your backsplash!

Have you tried Behr Inked on poster boards on every side of the island? You need to look at the colour throughout the day. What's making you hesitate about Inked?

try shasta lake or superior blue [behr] ...a bit of green tilt, still blue. Your kitchen looks warm to me. Avoid indigos/purple-ish blues. Blue is a cool color but there are yellow pigments/ green tilts in many blues......go that direction and you can do brushed or dull brass hardware to complete the feel.

I don't know if this is the kind of thing you'd want, but I am doing my foyer in Pittsburgh's Sailor's Coat (paint matching in BM). It's very deep but warm. No purple. I only tried it b/c our local indie paint place sells both BM and Pittsburgh and I just wasn't seeing what I wanted in BM. I'd post a pic of my sample wall but it's not a huge area and I don't think it would help much. I agree with the idea of painting boards and checking them at different times of day. I started with that before slapping a sample on the wall.
