Small Studio Design Help!

I just moved into a studio apartment and need help configuring the bedroom/living room. The room is 10 x 15 and needs to be able to fit a Queen size bed. Also there is opening on the wall into the kitchen that I will be utilizing as my dining table (think two high barstools and a view into the kitchen as you eat).

Would love get your opinion on set up! Where to put the bed, do I need additional seating? Coffee table? Any advice and decorating tips would be greatly appreciated!

Now if your landlord doesn't want a track installed, these Armstrong ones are easily installed and removed with only a small screw hole left behind which you can fill with a finger dab of putty when you move out!!

The nice thing is that it's actually better if your door opens in that direction. When a sales person comes to your door, they really shouldn't be able to see much of your home's interior. Like this, solicitors only see the panel and what's behind you, while guests walk in and enjoy the full living room.
You can put a coat hang or shoe bench against the wall directly opposite the door, to give it an entryway feel.

Unfortunately it looks like everytime you'd open your door you'd walk into your bedroom first with this layout. But it could work potentially. Just note I am not good with sizes. I would also suggest putting a long dresser behind couch if you can fit it, it will act as a sofa table, but actually work still for your clothing dresser.

Are you able to switch it, if you can justify it to your landlord that it will improve the space and your willing to pay for it, and show him how it makes the space more functional to you and to future tenants - sometimes they are willing to budge.

Another option Lindsey is to go with a bunkbed that has a double bed on bottom that you can have as a couch when company is over, but use as a bed on regular basis

I love your pins do you think you can give me some ideas for our outside porch aria we love to hang out as a family like swimming having grill outs ext... so I just really need some opinions!...:)

The photo by Samantha will work very well if you just add a 6' tall fan partition divider thingie, or something like this to cut the visual field into the sleeping area.
