You will get bettper suggestions if you post pictures of every wall so we can see entry, closet doors and window placement. A drawing with dimensions also helps. My suggestions with what you have posted is the overhead lighting is a little harsh. You need bedside tables with lamps. Typically you wouldn't want a footboard on a bed in a small room. it just makes it seem smaller. nice flooring and wall color.

What bedding styles will work with your upcoming Murphy bed? Choose one of those, then use it on the current bed.

It seems that the bed is overwhelming the room from what photos you have posted. Have you considered moving the bed so one side of it is up against the wall and would be more like a day bed as shown in the above photo posted by Bandd Design.
