Carpet in basement under cabinets?

Hi we are putting a dry bar in our basement that will be placed against the wall. The carpet installler suggested putting the carpet underneath and the cabinet people prefer to have them sit on the concrete. We will also have quartz countertops.


Is one method better than the other? i.e having carpet underneath the cabinets or no.
