I know the tub you are looking for, and have one in this home ;0) It's 40x32, 14" deep. Little bit of a conversation piece, we refer to it as the babies and puppies tub. Sunny-but-soft yellow. Slight bow front.

It's original to the 1955 house. All in three baths, kitchen, laundry, mudroom are Kohler. I see no visible markings on this cast iron tub but assume the same? At this date, I wonder if a salvage shop might be an option for you. Do you have a relationship with a plumber with maturity and experience, sometimes they have sources where they can track down hard to find pieces...

Everything in that bath is well done, clean and functional. If I only liked the yellow with green tile I'd never consider a remodel. As it is, if I do update that bath (it's the guest bath), I'd like to keep and reuse the tub.

The Cinderella tubs seem to be easier to find. Assuming they are perceived to have more salvage value an the small tubs.

I live in a 1920's Colonial and the original bathroom only has space for a small tub. Did a ton of shopping (even on mobilehomedepot.com (!) and ended up with a Koehler.

Botz apparently still makes their 47" one. I was looking into this size tub for a while, thinking of trying to squeeze one into the half-bath. I remember reading lots of reviews talking about bad porcelain application, or chipped surfaces upon receipt. So if you get one, check it at the store before taking it home. Bootz 4 ft bathtub

How about a mop sink? they come 24" x 36" but I have no idea if they will hold your weight, and 24" is darned small to shower in. Manufactured Stone Mop Sink

This company has 32 x 32 and 36 x 36 terrazzo mop sinks. One is 12" deep. It is the Serviceptor, and the 36" square one weight 425 lbs! That just might be heavy duty enough to serve as a shower receptor.
