I bought a badly overgrown pot of a Futura marginated. I wound up separating all of it. I do not want to fully commit myself at this time, but if Spring and Summer go well, I may have some nicely rooted divisions. If I wind up with healthy plants with generous root systems, I will be happy to share with you, come the Dog Days. These plants look like what some folks call Black Gold Futura. I just do not want to commit to a name I'm not fully sure of.

Mary, Your not alone. 2018 has been one of my worst years ever. I too lost some close family and a few friends in the past few months. One right before Christmas.

With depression, you seem to loss interest in some of the things your loved before. Time heals all wounds.

I usually have some extras come late spring when I start to re-pot but can't be sure what I will have.

I feel terrible, most of those Hahnii I lost were gifts from Chris G... I lost 1 Streaker, 3 Gold, 2 Silver Frost, 1 Seibert, 1 Silver Marginated, 1 Silver, and 1 Green... I’ll recover though, I have faith!

Mary, Don't feel too bad on loss of hahnii. I have trouble with them myself. Some grow nice for years then crown rot sets in and I loose them. I now try to keep 3 or even 4 of the ones I love the most. That way when I do loose one, that's not so bad. On some I switched back to a more peaty mix (my compost) that seems to be working better. When I see store bought sans in peat and growing better than I can do, something must be up with that. I know I can't compete with greenhouse grown plants but there must be some happy medium. The great formula for sans growth is Rot = water + cold so the opposite is true as well; great growth = water + heat.

i once had about 4 well growing Streaker than lost them. Lucky I have one that's hanging on for now. Hope it picks up this summer. That's very nice of you Snek lover. I'm sure Mary would love it.

Mary, it is confusing to me as well. Just when I figure it out, I forget. Similar to FaceBook which I hate. They try to make it simple but I guess I'm too old.

Folks have to allow messaging. You go to Your Houzz at the top right,
click on Edit Profile and then on Advanced Settings to the left. Near
the bottom is a "Who can message me" box that you change to "Allow
anyone to message me". If someone allowed this you will see "Message"
box when you click on their name.

Thanks for all your help Barb, Shanna, and Stush... all plants are potted and hanging in there... only lost a ‘Streaker’ and possibly a ‘Bantel’s’ in the transition.

My spirits have been lifted, and since I have all Summer off, I’ve been dedicating all my time to my green babies...Things are starting to come around!
