My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Island Support Bracket

I have a 3cm Soapstone Island counter that is 117” long. The overhang will be 18”. The overhang is on the backside only. My Carpenter and cabinet installer likes my idea of using the Hidden Island Support Bracket that I found will reading this forum. Has anyone had experience using this system?

    It's a cool solution for a much smaller overhang. Your overhang is much too large for use with that. And it's unnecessarily large, plus visually unblanced. It shouldn't appear to be levitating.


    You need to build a table type extension with posts and stretcher bars if you want 18".
