It looks a little dark. You need some lamps for the nightstands, think shiny( you already have the soft textures covered) finishes. You also need window panels to soften that area. If your art is going to be colorful, keep the curtains plain, but full.

Too dark and fuzzy (velvet & faux fur) for my taste. Window treatments, bedside lamps, more inviting chairs for conversation or TV watching would be starters. I think the desk and computer would be better in an office. I prefer dedicated spaces and bedrooms are for sleep and intimacy (hesitant about TV myself.) You should arrange two more comfortable chairs in front of the window. May we see the other two walls?

Fourth wall. Door to living on left. Desk on right. It’s a vintage Lexington desk. It was in my room growing up, my now deceased little brother was baptized on it, and my dad had it in his office when he started practicing law, so it has a sentimental value to me as well. I included a close up of the gold and green detail on the desk, it’s gorgeous.

Our home office is used by hubby since he works from home. The desk is my work area for the occasional days I work from home. It’s not often, HR is more hands-on than sales.

The PlayStation is mine. I’m a gamer. I have no excuse. I love my CoD.

Would you enjoy a pair of swivel chairs at the foot of the bed for gaming? The bench might work in the double window. Or you could put the bed in the window; proven you attain optimal secure and restful sleep when you lie perpendicular to the door. The desk could go on the opposite wall and two swivel chairs at the foot of the bed would allow turning to play.

Love these ideas! I just realized I have a round antique end table that’s the same mahogany with a gold pattern on the top up in our guest room. It has my old four post bed as well. Maybe I could move my desk up there and have that as my designated home office. Then I could move the other chair next to the one by the window and take the round end table to my room and put it between the two chairs.

I replace the chairs (which I got for $75 on Facebook) with THESE chairs, which are very unique. I bought them at an estate sale for $40 and had them recovered with fabric I bought for them. They had their original upholstery (along with an old bandaid and horsehair stuffing). I recently found one of these chairs for sale on 1st Dibs for around $4500, hubby about flipped and told me to sell them, I told him no way!! Love them!

As long as they're comfortable, they're really cool chairs. With those you can revamp your bedding to pick up on those colors. I thought the other chairs were a bit formal and stiff feeling. Good idea to group all your green/gold pieces together in another room.
