Wekiwa tangelo taste test

There is a thread about grapefruit choices and someone just mentioned this cultivar, which reminded me that I have one and that there has been this ripe fruit sitting on it for a little while. I harvested it just now and tasted it. It was very nice....sweet with some tart and a very very faint grapefruit flavor. Honestly, I don't like true grapefruits and the flavor of this one is not much like a grapefruit. It is much smaller also - like a mandarin. The tree is nice and not large at all. It has about 9 smaller fruits growing on it now, but they will take a while to be ready. It is not a fast grower and is not much like a tangelo in size. Anyways, here are pics. I put a cocktail grapefruit next to it for reference.

It was just finished off my my daughters so it did not last long. It was also nearly seedless. It had maybe 6-8 small seeds that did not look fully developed. The fruit was definitely ripe though.
