It has been small growing as compared to some of the other sans I grow.

What is it? guiniensis variegated?? In any case.....not much chlorophyll in those leaves, so it will be slow growing. The fact that you have kept it alive and blemish free means you are doing something right!!

"water me - but not too much; give me light - but not too much; keep me warm - but not too warm, and whatever you do be very careful of anything you spray on or around me. Oh, and I need the soil mix I require to thrive, changed about every 6 months. " :)

Once it gets fully established it should start to grow faster for you. Like Woodnative said, your doing something right. I could grow mine for maybe a year at the most, it would produce a pup then die. Pup would grow for a year then die. Then I totally lost it. Was nice while it lasted. It was during the winter months that I lost it. I think my house was too cold for it.

Barb, how long would it take for the leaves to change? So far there has been no change in the leaves over the last 10 months. What do you think?

I don’t really remember how long it takes, but I don’t think 10 months is long enough. I think the dark green leaves are about 3 yeats old. Not a fast grower. I do like the variegation.

Jstropic, Thank you for the offer. Some one here offered me some and I refused. No sense killing more. I know I can't winter this one over, so I gave up on it.
