We just had a Pompeii quartz counter installed. A painter left a paint can on it overnight, sitting In some water, and it created a rust ring. he said he cleaned it with soap and water. There is a round mark remaining that is visible from certain angles, sort of rainbow colored like when you see gasoline on the ground or copper turning color. The installer tried acetone, but that didn’t work. The manufacturer suggested bar keeper’s friend, but that didn’t work. The contractor seems to have no other suggestions. Is my countertop ruined?
