What is the width of the new tv?

57 inches... (the new tv that is not shown)

these are 9 foot ceilings too so I am assuming the tv would be hung and would have a lot of open space above

So you do need a 70" console (roughly 25% wider). Do you have another spot for the plants?

I can move them or get rid of them. I personally think a 65" tv is a bit much for the space but the boys in the house said , "go big or go home"

We have older Hooker cabinetry for our TV with raised panel doors. The doors in the console have glass, but also came with panels so can change the glass to a wood panel. I wonder if that is an option any longer with Hooker. Seems like the 2nd option you posted might have wood panels for the 2 center glass doors.
