The first video may have been good for those thinking about growing and selling African Violets.

I was very impressed with her instructional videos. I have purchased plugs and leaves from her in the past and never been disappointed. When I restarted my AV collection last spring, I went to her for my initial plants. Fascinating to see where they came from.

I haven't got the patience for video anything (as far as deriving information about it). It just takes too long. I can read about 5x faster than I can listen. So, I love the forums and written stuff more than vocal.

Well, Aegis - I found it fun just from the view of having bought leaves and plugs from Bloomlovers in the past - it was nice to see where they were grown. And I'm with Rosie - I'm envious of that sun room. Sigh.

So far, I liked best her video on chimeras.

Fair enough, dbarron! I find some videos tedious. Sometimes I just need the written word in front of me so I can go over and over and over it till I get it. But sometimes I need to see the movement. The fluid motion of continuity without a period. The visual. I guess I just need both!!!!!

Gary was in a superb physical shape. He looked very very fit when he was still coming to Conventions and his family obligations didn't interfere with his schedule. If we would try to tend to our plants crawling... our family members would be driving us to chiropractor all the time... just to unbend us.

Regarding sub-sub-sub zero weather - luckily not. Tina lives in Sherbrooke Quebec- which is an hour drive to Newport, VT. And while we know that VT is cold and snowy - it is warmer than Point Barrow, Alaska... They use Celsius scale in Canada -it looks scarier - but January averages are +22-+4 F. They had record low in 1979 - -40F. It was probably once in 200 years extreme - but I am sure it was a major disaster.
