We have only great feedback with Cambria. In our experience we have had no defects or flaws in the material, and whenever there is something we pick up that is not normal or specified within the design they will gladly replace the slab.

It depends on what size "large" is to you and whether or not that requires a seam. No man made Quartz that has veining will ever look like bookmatched natural stone with a seam.

You must design within the limitations of the materials available. You can't design a 20' H fireplace and want that covered by a single slab of stone. Nor can you design a 15' island without a seam.

We have Cambria countertops, installed over ten years ago, and never a problem.

I have Cambria in a couple of rooms, and I just bought two slabs for a lake house kitchen. While I have had my quibbles with Cambria – – certain patterns are subject to large resin pools, and some people have had complaints about the Jewel series pitting – – they still have the best looking patterns around, in my opinion. Cambria standard-size slabs are 55 1/2” x 122” and jumbo-size slabs are 65 ½” x 132” and not all patterns come in both sizes, IIRC. Still, it sounds like either one will accommodate your island, no problem. But if you are choosing a pattern with any movement whatsoever, you absolutely must pick your slab and you absolutely must go to templating. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise and I’d advise not working with any fabricator who will not let you do these two things.

I have Cambria fieldstone (I think that is name - dark gray brown). I love it. I would absolutely get again.

I am a fabricator. I suggest you view and select the slab. If you are sure of the "color" you want then a photo would suffice as you want to make sure the slab doesn't have objectionable (to you) areas like the resin pools which result from inadequate mixing of the ingredients or simply movement which you don't like.

I sell a lot of Cambria and have had no issues. We also sell a lot of Cesarstone and MSI - no problems there either...

My Cambria looked as good on the day it was ripped out as the day it was installed almost 14 years earlier. Planned to do Cambria again with the remodel, but fell in love with soapstone.

Thank you! Plaster ceiling...we took the wall down between dining and kitchen, so it was blended to match plaster in dining and living room (1960's ranch)
