How much space between the stove and door casing? What is the lower cab between the stove and corner? Is it a blind cab or a voided corner? Sorry, I am not familiar with Ikea cab types.

There is 17" between the edge of the range and the door casing.

Is the living space on the left side of the plan? I think it works well for your space, but I would personally change the configuration on the range wall. I've removed the blind corner upper, deadened that corner and added a 30" upper to the left of the hood and 15" to the right. This moves the range down a few inches allowing for 15" base and upper to the right of the range. It also allows more space between the casing and the cabs. You will get better storage and balance. A 12" cab next to the range is not optimal when it's the end of a run.

Also, the high legs on the "D" wall are not required. You can float them if you want. Depends on the look you want.

Thanks! I played around with it a little and I realized that the dishwasher might not open because of the range handle sticking out if I shifted the range over. Do you think that would be an issue?

The area to the left is the only dining area in the house.

I would put a 15 cab next to the stove even if it touches the door trim. What size filler is next to the blind corner cab in your proposed layout...hard to read for me.

Between the base blind corner cabinet and the range there is a 5 in filler in the design. Maybe what I could do is have the installer put the dishwasher and range into place and see how much of a filler we need there.....does that make any sense? We live 5 miles from an IKEA so I picking up and returning cabinets won't be an issue.

I agree a 15" cabinet would be a better fit so I'll make that change. Thanks!

Changing door...any chance of sliding it over even if it lines up with the overhead beam and wall behind the fridge? It might give you room to shift for clearance. How far does your stove oven handle extend past the cab face?

I have one and a half inches on my voided corner.

It is a masonry wall with exposed brick that we would like to keep so moving the door would be tough. We haven't bought the range yet but according to the specifications it is 29.25 deep with the handle.

The DW should clear with the 4.25 filler next to the DW and the filler piece that comes with the corner cab. My handle is 29" from the wall and 4.25 clears it.

I find that you do not have much prep space (countertop or cabinetry for prep tools and bowls). Have you considered a layout with a peninsula:

- range and ref along the current sink wall

- counter along the current fridge wall

- peninsula perpenticular to where the fridge currently is - would house your sink

Others far more knowledgeable than me will be able to comment on appropriateness of clearances, but I think the peninsula layout would give you at least 4 feet of uninterrupted space, without dw and the possibility of multiple drawers, between the sink and range.
