$300 is two legs. Unfinished. Maybe redesign to use invisible steel with reinforced cabinets. Or a smaller overhang that doesn't need support.

Have you tried amazon.com. I just did a search on kitchen island legs, there are quite a few options that will ship to Canada.

The overhang can't be altered and actually doesn't need extra support since it is self-supporting-I just would prefer legs as I think they complement the style I am going for. Here's a picture. We just threw in 4x4 posts for scale. No, the lovely linoleum is not staying ;)

Richelieu has columns....see here. Most Cabinetmakers should be able to order these in for you as most deal with Richelieu.

Also, some cabinet companies might sell you columns by themselves.

For Kenora, the supplier for Richelieu would more than likely be NEOS Products in Sudbury. You could try calling them and they might be able to tell you who in your area would carry/order Richelieu products. Unfortunately, they don't deal directly with the public.
