The wife and I bought a 1925 Craftsman bungalow in Tacoma a couple months ago and, among the old house issues, is a bendy, creaky floor. The floor is open from the basement, and it appears the original T&G subfloor is still intact. It's obvious many of the floor boards/subfloor slats are loose, but I'm wondering if the cracks in the horizontal support beams may be contributing to the bouncy floor?
