Why couldn't you do floral decals with that fun rug? :) In any case, I do think wall decals are the way to go in a nursery. You can switch it up easily as the years go by. One question: are those shades blackouts? That's a good idea in a nursery.

Thank you for such quick responses! We will not be painting and yes the shades are blackout - they are fantastic!! For bedding, I was going to keep it simple with light colors (white and pink stripes, white with some pink florals throughout). I was originally looking at floral decals like this but I worry that it would clash too much. Great tip on having something stimulating for babies, especially during changing time!

I think decals can work nicely. I agree with getting the bedding first. Our daughter did this wall decal for our grandson's room. Will the dresser double as a changing table?

That's cute! Yes the dresser will double as a changing table as a way to save on space. :)

Our daughter did the same thing with the dresser. In their case, our son-in-law made a pegboard to put over it.

If your walls are textured, decals won’t stay on. But I love the large pink flowers. That would be great. But i would start on other side of room that would draw babies eye and take around the corner and window. It would be darling. Good luck with your wonderful baby!!
