MCM doors are usually slab type plain doors. Most of the time, I have seen them stained a light color though. There isnt a lot of white in true mcm homes. Lately, I have seen some in colors, and white trim, because, new owners have painted them. Slab doors are completely appropriate for mcm. Get great door hardware.

Yes, they are in a project I just completed, glass knobs with chrome rosettes from Emtek. We replaced all the hinges with chrome too.

Paneled doors just weren't that common. A friend has a ranch with three panel doors so that could be an option.

I wouldn't replace just a few doors with stained maple or birch. keep them all white, and slab. A mix will look incomplete, to me. and, if your doors are painted white, I'm guessing the casings and bade are white, too. Mcm homes with stained wood slab doors usually had stained wood casing and base, as well. Go with the great hardware abd matching slab doors.
The exception would be the front door. it should have color, and be something to remember. Maybe add some Neutra style house numbers, and a great light fixture.

you could also go to a salvage place where they have actual wood doors from the 50's and 60's. substitute those if you wish.

or, strip the paint off your own doors and refinish the wood.

I replaced all of ours with pixelated glass since they all went off a hallway it not only looks great but allows more natural light into the hall.We even have them on the batroom doors unless you are literally standing up to the glass there is complete privacy too and if people want I guess they can add blinds to the side inside the room we have never bothered We did the trim around the glass in a really dark gray
