Pictures??

Sometime posters think their pictures went into the main OP, but sadly, Houzz has a glitch and the OP is picture less.

Could you try posting pics in the comment? That usually works.

Your media center should be bigger it should have more height and width for the tv is small. also can you switch the paintings?

are you interested on placing curtains at the window or shades?

Claire, there are built in shade, but I prefer to keep the shades up for natural light :)

I would have purchased another lamp to place on the other side of the media center. You have good taste it's just the paintings I'm worried about oh also a piece of wall art at the table. The sectional can you switch the pieces and have the longer part on the wall?

To me there is too much contrast to the dining area--all white--and the seating area--dark. You need some of the dark grey in the dining area. I don't know if that means cushions for the chairs, or a small runner for the table, or maybe just large dark planters at the windows. Art work in this area should also contain darker colors.

I would also suggest that you need at least one more lamp for the seating area. What do you do for lighting at the dining area? A chandelier with a shade over the table that incorporates some of the color from the couch or black would also be good.

get those poor little plants up on something so they can 'see' the light! ( in the dining area)

your tv console should be larger. (and that artwork is wrong for over the tv. place that over your sofa (only 4" above the back of the sofa please) and take the smaller artwork and place it to the side of the tv. Try and do something like this:

something with legs might look a little better. (and look at how all of these rooms are set up and decorated. rugs, plants, lamps, tables, etc. )

mount your tv to the wall and use a longer console. any of these pictured would work for yours

ideas for room decor. you want art behind your sofa that is 2/3rd's the size of the sofa.

We think it looks good, you just need a few alterations. We think the artwork is too high and maybe needs a few tweaks. Here is a design of ours to guide you a bit.
