Dining room-to-playroom conversion inspiration?

My 2-year-old needs a playroom with toy/book storage on the wall shown. Need any inspiration for the following:

1) an IKEA hack wall system like photo below

2) ceiling light (raise current chandelier and rewrap with a patterned colorful grosgrain ribbon?)

3) window treatment

4) paint color (prefer not to paint)

5) anything else!

Important considerations:

1) this is just off our main living room, so needs to be tidy and not overly kiddified

2) ceilings are about 9.5' high

3) the room is about 14' x 14'

I'm not seeing the IKEA hack you mentioned. I would get a rug that ties in with the rest of your house.

We are doing this in our home that is currently being built. Original plans called for a dining room but in this season of life we need a main floor play room. It’s about 12x12. We are adding double frosted glass pocket doors and a small closet (so it can technically be a bedroom). But also easy conversion back to a dining room. We will have two floor to ceiling double hung windows so really only two walls for storage
I’m planning the ikea trofast bin system on one wall with a TV mounted on the wall above). On the opposite wall will be a play table and two chairs. Bean bag chairs and the PBK anywhere chairs will live in the corners. In the small closet will be hangers for dress up clothes and shelving. The closet is built into the newly created wall housing one of the pocket doors.

We did this in our new build. I opted for a fun semi-flush mount.
I love seeing playrooms! My inspiration pic is included.
