Neostylis Starry Night

First time the flowers actually opened. For the last few years, it would start 2 spikes that would grow to about 2” then stop. I don‘t think I did anything differently this year so maybe it was just the age of the plan. It has the same scent as Lou Sneary.

James those are beautiful and congrats for you!! Do you grow it under lights or on a window sill? What a great job James.

I'll bet you love the fragrance on those, Love the color.

Thanks Mike. I grow them in a window. I do like the scent, it reminds me of Fruit Loops cereal.

Lovely blooms. Name is a mystery, might be Neostylis Pinky 'Starry Night'.

I only looked it up to see the parent orchid names.

You are correct Arthur. I pulled the tag out this morning to check.

Tho I guess it is actually Vandastylis now.
