I have a long narrow living/dining room- 16 feet wide by 26 feet long. I use the dining end of the room occasionally. I have a round table that seats 8 to 10-which is perfect for us. I never use the opposite end of the room for sitting because we have 3 other rooms for TV, office, music and reading. This room is right by the front entrance, so I do not want to put something like a pool table there. My style has changed to modern - so I could get rid of the Queen Anne style furniture.

My question is: what other purposes could I use this sitting area for?
