Fried AV pls help

I have my av in a west facing window and recently moved it to a shadier corner of the window and it seemed fine then I checked on it today and it seems just about scorched! At least that is my guess because I've neved had a sunburnt plant... Btw it is a shiawasee trail variety so the leaves were already weird but now are also curled up. Other than the curling and the discoloration they still feel like normal and are strongly attatched to the base. Can my poor baby be saved? Please let me know what you think.. PS I keep it under a plastic cup normally and that has seemed to give it a good humidity/ helped me from having to actively water it.

Looks like you have one small leaf that may be alive... It can have enough healthy tissue on a stem - it can resprout...

Anyway - remove dead stuff and move it away from a direct sun. Do not cover it. There is 1% chance something will come back from a stem. Keep it lightly moist. Do not cover - damaged tissue wll rot for sure. In a open if there is something left - it will scar and heal.

If nothing good happens in a month... it is offiially dead and you can chuck it.

Terrariums of any kind and sunlight do not mesh together.

It is too cold to ship now - but you can buy it again later, it is not that common of a variety - but it is still around. We all learn all the time, write it off as lesson learned and do not despair.

Yep ... the bad news is ... there is no hope for this one.

The good news is ... you can try again with a new plant.

The Shiawasee Trail variety is a pretty plant. I hope to try it one day.

What I would do - pull the stump out of soil - trim the dead tissue- and put it on sphag-n-bag treatment. It will increase my chance to 2%.

And order it again from FancyBloomers.

It makes 100% success.
