this is a 1st for me. Dug a planting hole almost about 14 inches deep and felt/looked like I hit substrate. New area for me but the bottom was hard and gritty (small rocks). I suppose it could be that depending on how it was initially dig/backfilled from prior years.

Ever have a headscratcher like that. Have never hit hardpack like that going only a foot+ in
