So I purchased this table with a stain, according to the previous owner they think it's a water stain.

I gave poultice a shot leaving it dry for 24 hours and it didn't work. So that rules out oil or acidic stains. I also tried scrubbing it with dish detergent and a soft brush.

It seems like a water stain based on the cup circle stains in the photo but nothing is working. Could it just need to resealed? I think my next step is to try a small area of the stain with a sealer, but want to exhaust other ideas first.
