Ariens SnowBlower question!

I know it’s the lawnmower forum but I thought maybe being winter and all someone could help. I have an older Ariens 824 two stage thrower. I used this morning and as I was putting it away I always turn the chute to the side – fits better in it’s spot that way. While doing so the big metal, surprisingly heavy orange chute literally fell off! I immediately noticed some sort of bolt was missing / fell off that connects the turn crank mechanism to the top of the chute. I can handle that I guess. I am wondering though what holds the bottom portion of the chute in place? It looks like the chute inserts into it’s hole after slipping under a little lip. Surely this is not all that holds it? Or is it?
