More cold coming (sorry)

This is from the European model ensembles, and shows most of Spring Break is going to be pretty cold. This is for March 16-21. That's 9-10 degrees below normal for much of Oklahoma for the 5 day period of March 16-21. That means the whole 5 day period will average that much below normal. It's likely that a day or two in that time frame will be colder than that. For Tulsa, the average high at that time is 62-64 and the average low is 40-42. This doesn't look near as bad as what we just experienced, but it will be plenty cold. Frozen precip is not out of the question with this setup, as well. Ugh!

So we have to keep in mind this is a model, and it's 10+ days away. However, this is the best model in the world, and this has been a consistent signal for a few days. Although not a certainty, it's looking probable.

Thanks for the warning, Lee. It isn't your fault the weather is doing this, and as always, I know we all appreciate that you come here and give us a heads up. I am sure you're just as frustrated as the rest of us are with the lingering cold. I hope you know that we appreciate that you are the messenger and we won't shoot the messenger.

It is just one of those years, and I think that by this point, we all accept that the weather is just going to do what it is going to do. So, we can moan and groan, or we can just carry on as well as we can and look forward to, oh I don't know....April weather. Because, you know, it never turns back really cold again in April, right? That would be crazy. Well, okay, maybe last April was an anomaly. We cannot have two of those cold Aprils in a row. One of these years we'll be hitting the 80s and 90s in March and looking back fondly at those not-so-long ago years in 2018 and 2019 when Spring was cold. Right?

Have a great week and weekend and we'll all hang tough together and emerge happily into the warmth and sunshine whenever we are allowed to do so around the end of March, maybe. We are perfectly calm and we can handle this. No. I. am. not. gritting. my. teeth. as. I. say. that.

It happens to be the week I told them to ship the rest of my plants. I get the feeling whatever time frame I give in those situations, the weather will turn cold. Like whatever street I choose to drive will have construction.
