And you might write / call / otherwise contact the various C&S Societies in Texas - who knows, maybe you can get an invite to a private collection.

Oh.... not a nursery, but you might find the West Texas Mountain Collection at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center worth a visit while you're in the Austin area.

East Austin Succulents is good. If you are going to be in San Antonio area I will suggest Paul's Desert in Schertz Texas... Just off of IH 35 . Their hours are variable so call in advance. Every one raves about them.

If you will be near Austin in April 6 or &th, the Austin Cactus % Succulent Sale at Zilker Gardens is a must.

Quality Cactus in Donna can not be matched for variety and price

I found peyote for sale at a roadside nursery somewhere between San Antonio and Laredo once. I did not buy any.

King Cactus in Houston is supposed to be amazing but their service is a bit spotty. They have big stock also.

Garden Haus in Comfort has a lot of well adapted and cold hardy cacti.
