Help from the Houzz-Mind with Visualizing...

My family (couple w/ 2 teens) is looking at a relocation from a 1929 bungalow in the States to city apartment in a large european city. one of the contenders has a very different style aesthetic than i'm used to: living room has floor to ceiling windows, parquet floors, wood built-ins, with mirrors in between them. I'm sure this was the height of elegance when this apartment was built. Our current style is transitional, leaning toward bohemian, with 1920s-1940s antique touches. We can't jettison all our current furniture but other things make this Height of 60s Elegance apartment attractive. We honestly wont have much $$$ to do much and the mirrors must stay.

Dear Houzzers, photos of similar spaces decorated for today's style would make this whole decision feel less ... weird. I would love to see some. Thanks in advance.
