I think my trees are going out next Sunday 3/24...I know it’s early, but so far the weather looks good...fingers crossed for early spring.

I'm projecting next Friday as the first day out! Out of the greenhouse that is. Pray we don't have an unexpected cold front.

My trees were out for a week, but this coming week, the lows are below my comfort level. I am doing the citrus shuffle this month. March 27 is suppose to be the last frost date for our area, but I would say the end of April is better.

You guys are lucky. I'll start doing the shuffle in April and hopefully by late April they can stay outside for the rest of the season.

Laura, if your moving your trees out the 24th I'm going to have to follow suit. Looking at the 10 forecast it seems promising. Just hoping we don't get a late freeze.

A bunch of my stone fruit trees have started blooming as well and I'd hate to see and early die off

Jeff, it worries me as well, but I keep checking the forecast and so far so good. I hope winter stays away for good. Are you in Baltimore?

If your tree’s have fruitlets already, you might loose them if you have a temperature drop and tree is in full sun. Some of my tree,s were already out several times just in shaded days, holding up well.

Figtree,s, different story, because of their size, they are going in and out of the garage, they are on dollies, no problem. Their final destination is still April 15, weather permitting.

I put my grafted Meiwa out 4 days ago. It is fully dormant and will take the cold easily.

All my other trees have fresh growth.

Brian, yes got the Daisy sions, they were rather small hope they will take. Made about 7 grafts, 4 or 5 on F/D. Was thinking about sending you a couple of sticks only if the gendarmes let me.

Got some avocado's to, 6 grafts with them. He gave me 24 or more of them, got to waist them unfortunate.

Your grafts look mighty fine Bob !!! Your going to love the Daisy !!!Nice looking citrus tree in behind those grafts . Thats a lot of Guacamole Bob .

Brian, you eat guacamole that far north. Btw, i got a bunch of hotpepper seeds from a gent up north where you live, amazing what you guys are doing in your spare time.

Bob all the time on my hands now is spare time got to love the retirement thing. It is amazing what we can grow up here in 2 months lol. Love Guacamole on Fajitas yummy. Everybody grows hot peppers here don't you know it will grow hairs on your chest .

I pay halve price for the amount of hair i grow at my "salon". On a different forum i ask for Piri-Piri pepper, a ingredient for a famous chicken dish in Portugal, guess these suckers are hot.He send me a bunch and some others kinds too, what a guy!!

I am looking in my crystal ball, i see that you wish you would go back to a old job, anything and there is more but i am not going to tell you,going to be a surprise.

Pretty soon I'll be paying half price to lol. Bob I've worked enough, time to have some fun before well you know . Going to spend the whole summer on a boat . I hate to know the surprise your not telling me , I can just imagine lol. You will have to let us know later this summer how that chicken dish turned out.

I am holding off with my trees till next Thursday. It looks like we are going to have a few days into the 30s so I'll hold off a little longer. I am bummed because I was hoping that last watering was going to be last one in the house.

Bob, if you want some Cuban recipes - black beans and rice or others, I can send you some. No hot peppers though. Cuban food is flavorful but not at all spicy. Enjoy those peppers though!

Laura you disappoint us, the hotter the better to a point. Brian is probable already sweating thinking about it. I am not familiar with Cuban cuisine.Far East is my favored .Italian is good too. Key lime pie, forget that.Spend time in Key West, no pie for me, seafood ya,ya.

I am actually a hamburger guy, stuffed with some goodies. Mexicans are not into their own stuff, here by us they like gringo stuff, fattening stuff, fried chicken, steaks etc. I can grill a mean steak or pork chop.

Ny dormant grafted Meiwa has been outside since mid March. It is dropping down to 25 tonight so it is coming inside for 12 hours.

Well, today is the day! Now if I just had the energy!! The 10 day forecast only has two nights in the forties, every other night in the mid to high fifties. So here goes.....Hopefully by the end of the day, my greenhouse will be completely empty!

Thanks Laura!!!! The boat is a dirty job but somebody's got to do it . Laura and the rest so jealous that you guy's are starting to bring out your tree's. Not that mine aren't doing fine in the greenhouse its just that they look so much nicer outdoors . Going now to finish my nap lol.

Just took my trees out temporarily,it’s nice, they can stay out for a few days. They are not in their summer spots yet. April 10 plus the 10 day forecast.

Bob, I will send you a few recipes then! Brian, enjoy that boat! When I lived in FL, I did lots of boating and scuba diving...here, I will not dip a toe in the Chesapeake Bay...it's cold and dirty (but beautiful). My trees are going out next Thursday the 28th. After that, things look ok. Bob, I wish I could take a few out, but it is cold here, and taking a few out is such a production because of all the lights, that it is not possible. And Bob, I love burgers too :)

April will be a good start to take all the tree’s out,night temps will all be in the mid fifties,days mid sixties and some seventies. I am off by two weeks, that’s just terrible. Today got six fig trees out in their summer home, 5 more to go, dugout 11 holes 3” deep, to finish sometime.

Some of my inground tree’s are now blooming,pear Asian/euro , peach, plum, pluots, dogwoods(30 tree’s), a few more.
