I just discovered an iris farm on the Western slope here in Colorado. I have plans to visit in June. Can't wait!

I’ve ordered a few irises this year, I hope I’ll have blooms to contribute to these posts next year, or the year after! :)

I sure hope so, mazerolm. I'm truly impressed with what you have been able to accomplish in your zone! It has given me an optimistic outlook should I eventually move to a higher altitude which I may do when I retire.

Thank you for the kind words, popmama! I don’t think it’s more difficult to garden in a colder zone. Your plant choice is more limited, but there’s still plenty enough! Google Images “Jardin Scullion“ to see pictures of a public garden in zone 3b. I visit every year as they‘re only 45 minutes away.
