St. Patrick's snowdrops :-)

The snow has been melting fast the past few days....! We noticed snowdrops in bloom a few days ago. The ground is very wet and muddy so I haven't been able to get close to the snowdrops - the pictures below were taken from the road (front bed snowdrops) or the back porch (backyard pictures). As you can see, there is lots of spring clean-up to be done once the garden dries out! We have BIL's big Airedale here this weekend and those big feet pick up lots of mud! So we know just how wet and muddy it is out there :-)

For context - the largest front garden bed viewed from the road:

The snowdrops under the pines (note the ice still on the path in front of that bed....):

Someday hopefully the clumps will spread out a bit - the ones in the backyard have been doing it a bit but the front ones seem less inclined to do so. There are a few snowdrops coming up in the grass in the ditch where we planted them years ago. DH keeps mowing the grass there too early so they've never had a chance to get firmly established! We really should plant more bulbs but we never get around to it...!
