We’re torn between a big remodel or a move. He thinks we can stay if we did a big kitchen redesign. If so, we would need to touch the dining room, kitchen and main living room.

I was thinking about turning the pantry to be flush against the wall, adding cabinetry along that wall, widening the entrance between kitchen and living room, opening up the space between kitchen and main living room, and finally I think it would be great to go all in and extend the living room out into the current patio space.

What say ye?

Note: this is the original floor plan so ignore the carpet everywhere (yikes), study (now a guest br) and front living room (now a study).
