Hi Heather, It is a gunite pool. Gunite is a mixture if cement and sand sprayed over a rebar structure. The surface is then finished with a pool plaster and in this case we used a dark gray colored plaster. The coping is concrete that was given a washed finish to make it look older and not like brand new concrete. Gunite pools are very durable pools and are strong to withstand California earthquakes.
