I just read more than I care to admit thanks to your link and my friend Google. Nice to know it is not dangerous. It landed inside my glove and I could feel something moving on my hand. When I pulled the glove off, there it was. I have never seen such a thing. It looked like a crab. Colorful and running around. Very cool.

I then tried to pick it up with a small stick but it would flip over. So I used my scoop for the fertilizer and threw it in the grass. Hope it made it as I read it is a good spider.

I must have run into it while throwing fertilizer under our shrubs and trees. How it wound up inside my glove is a mystery.

They hang out in my vines and eat mosquitoes or whatever little bugs hey can catch. They are pretty cool looking.

They are cool, but I wouldn't think that if they were as big as the other orb weavers!

I'm always happy to see them. There are currently several teeny tiny juveniles with webs in my young blood orange tree, catching those nasty psyllids, among other things.
