My laundry room is too small!

My laundry room is between the garage and kitchen s we have to walk through there to get to either garage or kitchen. Its a hassle to do laundry while people are passing through the small 6x9 room. An ironing board was attached to a wall but there is no room to iron. Forgot about washing the dog in the laundry sink! I need more space! Help!

Your laundry room is huge compared to most I have seen, and look at all that storage. There is a lot there to be thankful for.

Ironing is a function that gets done on occasion and then packed away, so with your ironing cupboard it meets that purpose. I don't think ironing is ever going to be a decorative statement.

If you really did want to make a change you could remove those base cabinets and put the washer and dryer there and then if the base cabinets not too wide they could go where the existing washer and dryer is. (they would take up less room). You could even go for a deeper sink to wash the dog.

This is what my laundry room looks like. As you can see, room is too small! The ironing board reaches from wall to washer! No space for me to iron. The door from garage hits the door to kitchen! It is so frustrating trying to do laundry when I don't even fit! LOL!

Could you post a floor plan? To make the room bigger we would have to take space from another room but we can't suggest options without seeing a plan of the house to find space to take from other rooms.

The location of that ironing board is too controlling of the space. Stop ironing Lol. Or get a traditional ironing board kind you can mount on the wall when not in use, that way you can set up when/where needed. Remove the kitchen door and consider having 2 hinged swinging panel doors leading into laundry, if you're trying to hide this work room? Nice laundry space there already!
