Hi all! New to the forum, thanks in advance for the help! My hubs brought home these two little hibiscus someone else tossed about a month ago. I don’t know what variety they are. They initially looked awful, almost all the leaves were yellow and many had holes and the plants have been constantly shedding them. Now they are looking a little better, but not great, but we do have a lot of buds forming (yay!) I would love to get them back to full health and prospering, but I really don’t know much about care and maintenance for hibiscus. Should these guys be pruned, and if so, when and how much? What is the ideal watering schedule? Currently the leaves still seem a little ragged, sparse and are curling on themselves. I keep seeing don’t water too much but make sure you water enough, but what does that mean? I live in Phoenix. The plants currently are in about half shade half sun each day. Would anyone mind passing on their knowledge to help a clueless rookie out? Thank you!!!!
