You have a perennial hibiscus, that grows a new top every spring. And not one of the woody species, that produces stems that are present throughout the year. Provide fertilizer and water as needed, the potting soil will need more of both of these than if the plant were growing in the ground.

Looks good. You must be in a fairly warm growing zone. Those type of hibiscus do come up out of the ground here until June. Just like Embothrium said above, you have a perennial hibiscus. It will die totally back to the ground level and then come back as all new each year. They grow very fast though. Within a month, it will be huge! Water and sun. That's what they like.
