If your appliance is designed to be mounted on or in a cabinet, you will probably have to build something to hold or mount the appliance.

Thanks Jim! I was thinking the same. As long as it’s stable and secure, not having the ”casing” should not be a problem.

Stove: Review the installation instructions (Frigidaire example) before considering doing this for the stove. Any induction range will require a 40-50 amp, 240 volt outlet and this range also requires an anti-tip device to be attached to the floor or wall.

Oven: I wouldn't buy the wall oven until you have the final cabinet in place in which to install it.

We will be doing something similar, but will probably just pick up a cheap secondhand freestanding electric range to get by. That gives me more time to shop for the real stuff.

Our current wall oven and cooktop are decrepit, but we don't want to just slot a new one in the same place.

Edited to add: search for "unfitted" kitchens, not only on houzz. That is how you will find long term temporary kitchens that include commercial prep surfaces and other choices.
