Great space! When you say accent depth, what do you mean by that. Just trying to get a better idea of your goal for the space.

You are almost there. I would start with a gorgeous rug.

In this particular room, wall backsplash wood or rock effects (modern) and maybe my dream hardwood floors that smells good. A lot work still on my bathrooms and lofts s3cond floor.pretty much all the default accents and old furnitures that was there already wwhen I bought the house. My dream is to get more high end stuff and materials that I can't afford rightnow. :)

I would also cover the TV area with drapes that match new ones with some color, pattern. And texture. The rug needs to be changed into something dynamic and colorful!

Remove those pillows from the sofa and add some of varying shades of the blue that you like. Also, different textures will help. Things with pattern of differing scales and textures will add dimension to the sofa if you want to keep that. The things Kelly suggested above are really good choices. I would change the drapes also. Try something that will help make them pop more, a strong contrast either much darker or much lighter and hang them a bit higher, with the panel going all of the way to the floor. This will add more drama. I would change out that lighting also, maybe a larger globe or circular pendant. Also, what about a coffee table? Good luck!

Great space and great couch. But pillows should not all match - vary them up with different designs, color and size. I also believe your curtains are to short - they should touch the floor and the curtains are too delicate for the weight of the couch - should not be shear. The pics posted above are great. Also every room should have some greenery (add a plant or two). Good luck.

Ronald, you need some architecture! Decorating alone can only do so much. Texture is so important for adding depth. A wainscot in any material would be great, crown molding, accentuate the nook for the tv with moldings or a different paint color, adding wood on the walls, maybe reclaimed planks going up to the ceiling between those windows? Then some awesome, even plug-in sconces on it, to highlight that texture. I would almost hide that tv area with some great patterned curtains, some that maybe relate to new curtains on your windows but slightly different. West elm has some great choices. Good luck! Just remember to decorate with things you really like. Don't go buy things on a whim. If you really like the things you buy, they will go well together and slowly add depth.

Consider the blue color in your pillows as accent color....match to textured wall covering . Then consider as application behind tv wall and main sofa wall.....

In my opinion and taste is to much monocromatic. I would change the area rug for something vibrant with an abstract design. If you love the framed art that you have I would just change the frame for stainless or black frame whith mat and hang it lower. Definitely some lamps and I think a touch of color in one of the walls. Oh! And I would take down that linear lamp in the ceiling in your design is the only thing that I hate.

I would replace the curtains with a lighter fabric with a small pattern and wrap it around the walls. For the area rug I would go with a geometric pattern in any color you like. Take the colors from the rug and buy lots of pillows for the couch. Use contrasting colors in your accessories like vases and add plants for warmth. The TV area use bifold plantation doors or a custom cabinet in an off white color. Hang a picture from the ceiling to add interest. Mirrors work wonders to spread light and add dimension to a small area. Lighting is crucial and would be nice if you added floor spot lights behind the sofa to accent the drapes and add drama. Hey, you should lower the picture over the sofa so there's 6 inches of space between the couch back and the bottom of the picture.

I think you should paint on wall a bright color like yellow, or make an accent wall of wood, rocks, or picture frames.

Curtain panels should be hung as high as possible. They should hang all the way to the floor. To me, the grommets are cheap looking. A thin rod and curtains similar to this would look right.

I'm a big fan of hardwood floors, so that's the first thing I would do to add warmth, using a lighter color like in the picture Anne Dee posted. I agree that a large, impactful painting would look great - I would go with a square format to best fill the space. If you love the photo you have, hang it lower and consider reframing it with a wider frame. I think the home cinema set-up takes too much protagonism and would suggest some curtains or doors to hide it away when not in use and/or painting the interior of the niche with a darker color (midnight blue to match the pillows, for example).

I'd say you're almost there! I'd suggest an interesting light fitting which doesn't hang too low, and a rug with a bit more pattern and colour in it! Yeah, picture down a bit and curtains a bit longer too, but you have a great space there, I must say!

I would bring the entertainment wall flush and float the TV. Use the space to hide the rest of the AV gear and control it remotely. The speakers are nice but somewhat of an eye sore since they are all black. Using a high performance speaker with some beautiful wood work or even a gloss white would be so much better for the look of the room. The attached photo gives an idea of what I'm referring too. That's the dilemna on d3sign... performance vs. Aesthetics. Most of the good speakers I know are black or cherry oak. Thabks the advice.. been looking for a place to put my av gear elsewhere still.

change the pic for a mod canvas. curtains look too 'romantic' for that room but if you change the cushions to a more contrasting colour & maybe a mirror or some silver vases?
if you go with something like that wood/glass table pair it up with an antler chandelier
and definately change the rug for something more textured. texture is what is missing from this room.....
