plz help. installing a taller entry door

In an attempt to get rid of the 90s style book of my home, I want to replace my entry door. I found a door I really like, however it is a bit taller than my current door. The current height is at 80 inches and the door I wish to install is 96. Width is the same. Around How much would it cost to take some wall out and heighten the frame to be able to install the new door?? And is it worth doing?
