Thanks for sharing. One of my primary beds seems to get mostly shade, so I'm trying to come up with alternative, shade-tolerant roses. Just in case.

The whole front of my house is part shade and I have avoidedRose's. I took put the knockouts that were there and put shade tolerant perennials. If Rose's work, I would love to expand these beds...

ooh, this is exciting news! I had Mme EC, and remember very beautiful flowers, but the plant didn't flourish (probably lack of soil prep, etc.). I want to try it again...

That's funny JC! What a beautiful rose. I'm always looking for shade tolerant to some degree. Interesting that your Mac died in the spot. I'm hoping to grow a new one from a cutting and we'll have to decide where to put her
