Wiggles and Squiggles is very vigorous. You’ll be impressed!

Sherry..back on the couch last night..my mom's better..I'm up early (dad's asleep) and on Gardenweb..I can't believe my Clausa invasion..there's no landscape fabric (don't like it) in that path but there's stone edging, concrete pavers and river rock..yet it's full of seedlings..I just can't waste them Lol..I want to move them but what a big job and I can't seem to get started..

nicholsworth I am really glad your mom is OK. Your garden is full of lovely spring plants. I enjoy the Jacks too.

You will find that the clausa are not seedlings but all connected. If you start with the furthest one the roots will connect to the next and the next....I took out an area full of them in the fall. They were intermingled with other Hosta. It was a big job but very satisfying in the end.

You are both so far ahead. I have all manner of plants coming up (slowly) in the sunny parts of the garden but nothing in the shade. The snow just left there a couple of days ago.

peren..I didn't know it when I bought them but I've learned about clausa!!..they're running all over..I'm sure I can dig out a bunch of connected plants but it sounds like more trouble..

It is not a fun job but easier now than later. I wish I had done mine sooner in the area that I did. I still have a huge tract in another spot that is relatively easy to shovel prune to keep them at bay from other plants. I would never want to be without them but they need a more out of the way spot as we both now know lol!

it would've been good to plant them in a big area and just let them grow..keeping that path clear will be a never ending job :-(

mom's great..pathology report was excellent..she's coming home today..after 4 nights/5 days away (a couple of pop ins) I'm home this morning and everything's bigger..

Sherrigirl, I will enjoy seeing your Montana A. Grow this year. Mine comes up early and gets frostbite.

nicholsworth I know you appreciated our concern. The only thing that matters is that your mom is doing well. Your dad must be thrilled to have his gal back home and you must be relieved & happy to be home too. What a nice homecoming with the trees leafing out and June strutting her stuff. "forktress" lol!

peren :-) today's technology was great..group texts..pics..videos..dad didn't go to the hospital (didn't take him..germs) but the communication was constant..out of state relatives were informed and could respond..someone brought a beautiful hanging basket of pink and red geraniums yesterday for her welcome home and I sent her a pic..it was so nice to be in touch..when I wasn't dad's secretary I could read Gardenweb..

I’m glad to hear the good news nicholsworth! I’m saying a little prayer for my northern neighbors in Illinois, 2” to 8” of snow for friends that live a short distance from me, getting rain here. I hoping the temps stay above freezing tonight, my Montana A. Is covered with a bucket.

Sherry..this time of year drives me crazy :-( I hope it's not that bad for you tonight..I have a bag of forks from a few sets of plastic "silverware"..we use the spoons and knives not the forks..I'd heard that tip and decided to try it..I hand selected the blue and green forks..Lol..
