My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Some of my "junk"

In the "peony" garden, I have a small collection of old metal gates, including this one. I've used the wire frames from old lampshades as peony supports. There is a very large insulator atop a piece of clay pipe. In the foreground is what remains of a rusty old straw fork. I bought it from a 90-year old farmer who gave me a whole lesson on the difference between pitch fork, hay fork, and straw forks. Fascinating stuff and a beautiful old piece.



Some of my galvanized watering cans placed along the top of some old white picket fence I got for free on Craigslist. Also part of my rake collection and couple of old pitchforks. The scrolly white metal piece is from an old porch support of some sort. It's about 10 feet long.



More to come. I'm "organizing" my junk this year. I've even managed to throw away a few things, primarily broken stuff. It took great strength but had to be done.
