Is it possible to save a leafless Hoya Optimistic?

last modified: 7 years ago

After I bought the plant, I discovered some small black dots on the back of the leaves. Then the dots spread to form black patches, like mold. I treated the leaves with hydrogen peroxide and then washed the plant with solution of dishwashing detergent mixed with baking soda.

Now the leaves are turning yellow, it looks like they will not last. But the stem remains green.

Is it possible to save this plant? If it drops all the leaves, will the stem sprout new leaves?

If I put the bare stem in water, will it root and grow?

I have other hoya plants and they are really hard to kill. Hope to save this one.

Thanks!
