Peninsula under the window

I have an L shaped kitchen a large picture window that is exactly counterheight (36") and want to know how to trim the moulding when the peninsula is installed and is flush with only part of the window as the window is wider than the peninsula.

    Without seeing exactly how the set up is, I would suggest installing only the sill without trim below it. You can then drop the casings on top of the sill. Allow at least 1” returns on the sill.
